Dubai-based Gulf Bagel Factory has recently appointed Chris Gauci as the company's General Manager for its UAE operations. Chris joins the Gulf Bagel Factory team to oversee the business' daily operations and lead the company as it enters a new stage of B2C business. Chris, who is originally from Malta, has a vast and colorful background both as a Chef and in hospitality management.

He has occupied several Executive Chef positions in a number of international luxury hotel chains like Hilton and the Xara Palace in Malta, where he was awarded his Relais & Chateaux certification. Chris has also worked in numerous Michelin Starred restaurants across Europe, alongside culinary celebrities like Raymond Blanc, Marco Pierre White, Yves Mattagne.

Chris's extensive past experience in hospitality management has prepared him for his new role at Gulf Bagel Factory, where he will drive the business strategy for the UAE, and eventually the GCC.

Chris Gauci said, "I am thrilled to join the Gulf Bagel family in this exciting time for the company. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge as we realize our ambitions in the region. Having an already established B2B business, I look forward to building on this while also establishing a strong B2C presence in the market, ensuring that customers can enjoy our authentic, kettle-boiled baked goods more conveniently than ever before."

Since its launch in early 2015, Gulf Bagel Factory have been investing in state-of-the-art baking and freezing equipment, while sourcing the best local and international fresh ingredients to deliver the most authentic New York style bagels and a large variety of artisanal bread buns.

Carefully planned and executed, each bagel and bread bun undergoes a strict and authentic production process: the 100% preservative-free mixture is kettle-boiled and then baked to perfection.

In what was its first move into the B2C market, Gulf Bagel Factory recently partnered with one of the regions' leading retail pioneers, Carrefour, offering consumers the opportunity to top up their trolleys with their artisanal New York style bagels. Six Carrefour branches in the UAE are now stocking Gulf Bagel Factory's baked goods: Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina, Mirdiff City Center and Deira City Center in Dubai, and Dalma Mall and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Gulf Bagel Factory's state-of-the-art bakery is located in Al Quoz area, with a production capacity of 30,000 bagels and breads on daily basis.
