PASADENA, CA August 6, 2015 - Parsons is pleased to announce that Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine has recognized the Etihad Rail Stage 1 project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the Award of Merit in the Rail category. The Etihad Rail Stage 1 project is managed by a joint venture between Parsons and AECOM.

Etihad Rail, the UAE's national railway network, is a 1,200‑km freight and passenger railway network that will serve the entire UAE and form part of the Gulf Cooperation Council rail system connecting the UAE to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Commenting on the achievement, Todd Wager, Parsons Group President, said, "This achievement reflects the project's complexity and its strategic importance to the UAE's infrastructure."
