RIYADH — During the just-concluded summer holidays various Saudi regions received as many as 11.3 million tourists who spent a total of more than SR13.5 billion on their trips, according to the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH).

The commission said the spending was an increase of about 12 percent over the previous summer.

The commission’s center for information and tourist research said there were more than 2.3 million tourist trips inside the Kingdom made by foreign tourists. This is an increase of 21.2 percent over the previous year, it said.
