Abu Dhabi crown prince today announced launching a $20 billion joint investment platform between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

“We launched a joint strategic investment platform between the UAE and Egypt worth $20 billion to implement vital economic and social projects for our brotherly countries,” said Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, through his official twitter account.

The announcement came during a two-day visit of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the UAE capital.

“President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and I witnessed the exchange of a number of agreements and MoUs that promote bilateral partnerships and open new horizons for joint action in various sectors,” said Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

He added that they discussed ways to strengthen relations in various fields and enhance coordination on regional and international events, as well as issues of mutual interest.
