Kuwait, As part of its continuous efforts towards the environment, Mövenpick Free Zone teamed up with Omniya, the plastic recycling environmental project, adding this to the list of initiatives that the hotel follows in order to maintain greener and healthier environs.

A number of Omniya boxes were received by the hotel team and distributed across the hotel facilities in order to encourage employees and visitors to sort out trash, and implement a healthier habit that people can incorporate into their daily lifestyle.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Oussama Bakhtan, Chief Engineer at Mövenpick Free Zone said, “Large Businesses, such as hotels and other industries, produce an excessive amount of plastic waste on a daily basis, which sadly goes untreated. At Mövenpick, we implemented the criteria of trash sorting long ago, and now we are proud to elevate our initiative to something more beneficial, a step that keeps the earth clean, and pays back to society.”

Mövenpick Free Zone is a certified member of Green Globe, following a number of initiatives and activities that aim to preserve Kuwait’s environment and maintain a healthy approach to a pollution-free world.
