Mubasher: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health refuted the circulating reports claiming that the Chinese medical delegation provided recommendations and notes regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the state.

The ministry emphasised that such reports are untrue, the health ministry's spokesperson Abdullah Al Sanad stated late on Wednesday.

He added that the Chinese delegation visited the operation centre of 'Shlonik' application, ‘colloquial Kuwaiti for, how are you’, and commended the deployment of technology in curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

The ‘Shlonik’ app was launched by the Kuwaiti government to monitor home quarantined people in line with the country’s massive repatriation plan.

The Chinese team is set to visit Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Hospital that is specialised for treating COVID-19 patients on Thursday, 30 April.
