Kuwait: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) launched its latest Video Call service, enabling customers to complete a number of transactions in an innovative way by communicating with a customer service representative via video call.

KIB’s latest service enables both customers and non-customers alike to video call customer service representatives face-to-face on weekdays from 9am to 4pm (except Fridays and Saturdays).

On his part, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB, Othman Tawfeqe, said: “Our newly launched service comes as part of KIB’s strategy, which focuses on adopting innovative technological developments in the banking sector; thereby delivering a high-quality customer banking experience that is both secure and easy to use.”

Tawfeqe added that call center staff are always available to answer all questions, from both KIB customers and non-customers, as well as marketing the Bank’s products and services. Additionally, he noted that through this service, customers can also activate or deactivate credit cards, debit cards, and SMS notification services. Customers can also receive information about their IBAN number, update email details, request bank statements via fax, bank cards and Murabaha. The Video Call service also allows customers to redeem KIB’s cash bank reward points.

Moreover, Tawfeqe pointed out that customers can also release/hold bank account requests, delivery requests from branches, or cheque book requests. This is in addition to submitting sales referrals to KIB branches and the Sales Department, as well as bank account and credit card requests.

Customers can also adjust notifications for credit cards and debit cards for travels, configure language preferences, telecommunication companies (Zain, Viva, and Ooredoo) and set/reset debit card and credit card PIN.

Tawfeqe also noted that this new service is easy to use. Customers can simply call 1866866, then proceed to enter the VIVR service via a link sent by SMS. Then, customers can select the Video Call service from the main menu or from a special menu for non-customers, or by entering the direct number of the call center representative.
