Kuwait: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) signed a partnership agreement with the highly regarded Diversified Integrated Sports Clinic (DISC), one of the leading rehabilitation and wellness clinics in Kuwait. This comes as part of the Bank’s wellbeing strategy for KFH Staff and in efforts to create a more dynamic, effective and efficient working environment.

“Employee health and wellbeing is now a business value of strategic importance and is fast becoming a source of competitive advantage. Here at KFH we believe there is a clear and direct relationship between our employees’ wellbeing and our organizational performance”, said Frederick Carstens- Group Chief Human Resources Officer at KFH.

Carstens’ statement was made on the sidelines of the signing ceremony that took place at KFH’s premises in the presence of Executive Manager Group Public Relations and Media Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh and Managing Director at Diversified Integrated Sports Clinic (DISC) Talal Al-Nafisi.

Carstens added: “We are sure that optimal engagement is only possible when the two, wellbeing and health are positively aligned. Adopting and implementing health programs in the workplace is very important for employees and the business as this helps to improve the overall happiness and productivity.”

He said: “We are delighted and honored to sign the partnership agreement with DISC and we are looking forward to further corporate wellness”, indicating the partnership with DISC confirms that KFH is on track of successfully implementing their wellbeing strategy for KFH Staff.

Carstens pointed out that KFH has launched several initiatives that have already started earlier in the year focusing on employee health and wellbeing, and on the view that Better Health Leads to a Better Life, and a healthier organization.

Meanwhile, Executive Manager Group Public Relations and Media Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh said that the partnership agreement with DISC, a successful Kuwaiti company, is part of the Bank’s social responsibility strategy. It reflects the keenness of the Bank in empowering the youth and supporting their initiatives.

He explained that KFH has a long track record of achievements towards the national youth and their initiatives, expressing pride in the Kuwaiti entrepreneurs while encouraging Kuwait's entrepreneurial ecosystem. He confirmed KFH support to all initiatives that are of interest to the society.

Managing Director at (DISC) Talal Al-Nafisi expressed his appreciation for the valued partnership with KFH, looking forward to continuing collaborations. He praised KFH efforts in creating a healthy culture among staff and hailed its leading role in supporting the youth and optimally assuming the social responsibility.

He added that DISC do not only focus on injuries and rehabilitation but also on home and office ergonomic assessments.

It is worth noting that by inking this partnership agreement, DISC holds regular workshops and preventative sessions for KFH staff to teach them about physical activity guidelines, health advice and injury prevention strategies. DISC organized two lectures entitled “Ergonomic & Posture at Work”, in KFH’s Shuwaikh Showroom for KFH Staff, and will continue organizing more lectures and physiotherapy sessions as part of the partnership agreement.
