Sharjah being a favourable destination to a diverse collection of businesses, there was no second thought for starting up a business in this location. Global Packing Fze: Our goal was to maximise our customer base while providing supreme quality products and services. The business started in 2002 with zero staff strength and less than 5 potential customers. Dealing with situations was tougher in the beginning for Mr. Amit Singhal as he had to deal with the customers single handed and did not have much knowledge about marketing. Managing door to door sale and getting leads from cold calls were the only way out of making a prospective customer. Mr. Singhal had pursued bachelors in Science and was not familiar with foreign trade either. Apart from the turmoil at work front Mr. Singhal had to go through a lot of emotional anguish as his family was not around and being a new country he had no friends either. Despite of going through the physical and mental grind each day, the drive and the determination of being a successful businessman did not weaken. Under the mentoring and guidance of Mr. Dinesh Gupta who also happens to be an uncle and his mentor and close family member, Mr. Singhal started his journey.
In the year 2002, both together set up his first office in SAIF ZONE with 250 sq.m and later in 2008 with 2500sq.m with highly equipped plant and machineries and brilliantly managed cliental conflicts meeting the targeted time Building a team of motivated employees and leadership sustainability helped in booming the business in Middle East and various European countries. Today Global packaging has a staff strength of 45 employees and a strong global cliental base.
The company was bestowed as the winner of “SAIF Excellence award in 2012 by SAIF Zone Sharjah.
The company has recently tied up with few foreign sprayer companies. It is also globally participating in various exhibitions, recent being the Cosmoprof in Italy and Las Vegas and Beauty World in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. The company is also in the progress of buying high end machines for glass decoration.
Mr. Amit Singhal believes that the journey to success is from one failure to another failure but the enthusiasm and the passion to achieve our ultimate goal should be kept alive. One needs to have the will to step out in the unknown searching for opportunities to innovate, grow and improve.
