Cairo Mubasher: The Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) injected EGP 13.5 billion in funding to micro-enterprises from July 2014 until the end of December 2020, the Executive Director of MSMEDA and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, revealed.

The funding was directed to about 1.24 million enterprises, which led to the creation of more than 1.613 million jobs, Gamea added in a statement on Tuesday.

The agency has succeeded in attracting several entities to finance this vital sector which helps improving the living standards of people in the neediest areas.
