Cairo –  The Egyptian cabinet approved signing a power purchase agreement with the Orascom Construction-Engie-Toyota Tsusho consortium that builds a 500-megawatt (MW) wind farm in the Gulf of Suez.

The project is being implemented under a build-own-operate (BOO) scheme over two phases with a capacity of 250 MW each, according to a statement on Thursday.
