Doha: The Doha Women Forum returns for yet another session featuring empowering talks by women leaders, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and life coaches. This year’s forum has been modelled on the International Women’s Day theme ‘Balance for Better’, a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world.

The event is organised by Future 318 (Faisal Al Suwaidi For Events), in partnership with Qatar Businesswomen Association and She's Mercedes as Strategic Partner. It will be held at The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa on September 29 from 8am to 3 pm. The event will consist of inspiring talks, group discussions and workshops, as well as an interactive session to facilitate networking.

Doha Women Forum and Future 318 Founder Conchita Ponce said, “We are very pleased to present yet another edition of the Doha Women Forum for women in Qatar. Future 318 prides itself in conceptualising events that benefit the community and Doha Women Forum was developed with that objective. The success of the previous years have proved that the Forum is the voice of the modern women empowering them to bring about change within themselves and their society. This year, we will focus on the importance of gender parity, and encourage women who are concerned about gender bias in their workplace or society to be a part of the forum to understand how to approach the issue and manage it.”

Qatar Financial Centre Legislation and Compliance at the Employment Standards Office in charge Dr. Francesca Re said: “We are very pleased to support the Doha Women Forum, which has become an important platform for discussing some of the challenges that women face today. We pride ourselves in creating a healthy, fair and balanced environment for all staff at the Qatar Financial Centre. Gender equality is imperative to building a sustainable future. Almost 40% of our workforce is female and we are committed to designing additional policies to foster gender balance to attract and retain female talents."

Nasser Bin Khaled Group Chief Operations Officer – Auto, Ihab El Feky said: “We, at Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the authorized general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, are honoured to be associated with Doha Women Forum once again after a very successful edition last year. Acknowledging the role of women in our societies, Mercedes-Benz has created ‘She’s Mercedes’, a platform dedicated to inspiring, connecting and empowering women to unleash their best. Through this program, we aim to support women and their inspiration, and appreciate their important role in building our communities and countries. We are proud to support Doha Women Forum in their endeavour to increase awareness about this significant matter amongst the women in Qatar”.
Doha Women Forum 2018 was focussed on the theme of Press for Progress and was attended by hundreds of women and included distinguished speakers from different walks of life. This year’s event is supported by Qatar Chamber, International Chamber of Commerce Qatar, Qatar Financial Center and North Oil Company with the support of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic.
