Dubai: Dubai Land Department (DLD) received a Russian delegation of 50 specialists from Russian real estate developers and financial institutions from Moscow, as part of their participation in the ‘Annual Investment Meeting 2019’ that took place 8 – 10 April 2019 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

During the visit, the delegation met with HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Chairman of DLD, along with HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General of DLD. The Russian delegation were briefed throughout the tour on all DLD’s sectors and the procedures and mechanisms used in the registration and regulations.

Bin Mejren said: “During this year’s Annual Investment Meeting, which was launched as a partnership between DLD and Strategic with the emphasis on supporting and promoting sustainable real estate investment in Dubai, we had the opportunity to welcome many delegations, most notably the Russian deleation comprising of more than 50 real estate professionals, to provide them with extensive explanations on the Emirate's overall investment horizon and the ideal environment for any investor when regarding our Emirate as an investment haven."

Bin Mejren added: “We were keen on organising a successful visit for the delegation and focussed on highlighting the strengths and unique features of Dubai in its competition with global cities, noting that Russians highly among the most popular nationalities investing in Dubai. Additionally, the delegation was briefed on government privileges provided to investors and the affirmed return on investment they can generate in Dubai’s real estate sector.

At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed its sincere thanks for the warm hospitality and generosity, the abundant information they received from DLD's officials, and the benefit of the expertise and experiences enjoyed by DLD in all fields that will allow them to explore investment opportunities in Dubai.
