Chairperson of Russia's Council of Federation arrives in Riyadh

RIYADH, 16th April, 2017 (WAM) -- Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko, Chairperson of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, has arrived in Riyadh on an official visit to the Kingdom at the invitation of Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council.

During the visit, the Russian official will meet with senior Saudi officials to discuss means of boosting relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia in various fields.

She will also hold talks with the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council on a number of issues of mutual concern between the two countries, in addition to enhancing coordination and cooperation in the parliamentary field between the two sides.
