ArabFinance: Bosta, an Egyptian startup for shipping solutions, teamed up with Family Corporation, a leading company in the transportation field, to expand its shipping fleet in Egypt, according to a statement by the company.

Under the partnership, Family Corporation will provide Bosta with tricycles and vans to be used in delivery operations nationwide.

Bosta will launch a fast delivery service with 1,000 tricycles initially in the first phase. The project ensures the efficiency of shipping, shortens the time of delivery, and provides new job opportunities.

Bostas expansion strategy aims to deliver more than 5 million parcels by the end of 2021 and 15 million parcels by 2022.

Mohamed Ezzat, CEO of Bosta, said that the companys growth strategy targets expanding its presence in Egypt to cope with the digital transformation that impacted the e-commerce market positively.

Ezzat added that Bosta developed its infrastructure locally to be qualified for this step. The infrastructure development included a digital revamp, a new fleet, and a warehouse expansion.

He further noted that Bosta went through trial stages to test the speed of delivering various types of parcels.

We support freight and delivery service companies in the Egyptian market by working on effective partnership agreements to achieve expansion plans, Waguih Eskandar, Family Corporations Managing Director, commented.

Eskandar added that Family Corporations vision aims to be the top partner to the freight and delivery industry in Egypt. Family Corporation owns a fleet of 1,100 various vehicles in different sizes.

For his turn, Shehab Gomaa, Bostas Marketing Manager, noted that the companys expansion in business will positively affect the Egyptian market and provide 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities by doubling up the number of couriers by the second half of 2022.

Established in 2017, Bosta has evolved strategies to empower e-commerce and the freight and shipping industry in the Middle East and Africa region.
