Bawadi Mall in Al Ain to hold 24-hour mega sale this weekend

Bawadi Mall in Al Ain, UAE, a major shopping and leisure destination, is launching a 24-hour ‘Mega Sale’ on June 15 and 16, offering more than 90 per cent discounts across major brands, in addition to offering visitors and shoppers a holistic experience.

It has been noted that the month of Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr positively impacted the retail industry in the Middle East. Last year, weekly retail sales in the Middle East rose by 29 per cent in average, peaking at a 42 per cent sales uplift. Retailers also saw significantly higher numbers of website visitors by 21 percent on average, compared to an average of the three-month period before.

This is likely due to the traditional gifting during Eid-al-Fitr, with 58 per cent of consumers in the UAE planning to buy gifts for others during Ramadan. In terms of types of gifts, clothes, perfumes and toiletries comprise the most popular product categories in the Middle East.

“Eid-al-Fitr is an important period for the retail industry, and offering discounts and cashbacks not only increases the sales, but also leads to higher footfall,” added Saleh.

Coinciding with Eid-al-Fitr celebrations at Abu Dhabi emirate, Bawadi’s ‘Mega Sale’ is a part of 24-hour sale organized by The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi which will run at all malls in Abu Dhabi emirate including Al Ain city.

During the 24-hour Mega Sale, shoppers will be treated to unbeatable discounts from more than 200 retailers across all categories including fashion, jewellery, electronics, home appliances, cosmetics, and more, which will offer discounts up to 90 per cent.

Additionally, visitors will also have an opportunity to win spectacular prizes, alongside a packed programme of entertainment activities.
