Bahraini authorities have announced that work was nearing completion on the Buhair housing project in the kingdom's southern governorate. A total of 227 residential units will be handed over to the beneficiaries within the Phase One of the project.

The Buhair project falls within the work plan to provide 25,000 housing units as stipulated in the Governments Action Plan, said the kingdom's Housing Minister Basem bin Yacoub Al Hamer after an inspection tour of the project.

The project is on track, with 99% of the construction and infrastructure works already complete, stated the minister, who was accompanied by Parliaments Services Committee Chairman Ahmed Al Ansari.

"The project is proceeding as per the time plan with the aim of completing the construction and distribution of the units to the beneficiaries at an accelerated pace," he added.
