AMMAN — Education Minister Tayseer Nuaimi on Saturday said that amending Defence Order No. 7 or any of its provisions enables the ministry to continue working according to its content for the current school year 2021/2020.

Nuaimi stressed that the amendment does not mean that the current school year will be entirely through remote education.

The minister told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the amendment aimed at addressing impacts of developments in the epidemiological situation on education, where some schools are suspended and switched to e-learning.

Defence Order 7 of 2020, issued by Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Omar Razzaz on April 16, deals with organising remote school and university education, vocational training and student evaluation mechanisms.
