Iraq and Jordan have held discussions on linking the power grids and internet services between the two countries, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Planning told Zawya Projects.

Abdel-Zahra Al-Hindawi said the discussions were held between the Iraqi Minister of Planning and Jordan's ambassador to Iraq as part of a broader discussion on promoting economic cooperation and investments between the two Arab countries.

He noted that the two countries also discussed the project of establishing an economic city on the border, as well as rehabilitating and securing the international highway linking Iraq to Jordan.
