ArabFinance: US infrastructure giant Bechtel plans to expand its business in Egypt, according to a cabinet statement on May 9th.

The announcement took place during the meeting between the President of Bechtel’s infrastructure global business unit Shaun Kenny and Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The American construction company eyes joining the country’s megaprojects, including managing new cities.

Bechtel is also expected to lead the planned construction of Cairo Metro Line 6.

Founded in 1898, Bechtel is an American engineering, procurement, construction, and project management company. The company is considered the largest construction company in the US. It has completed more than 25,000 projects in 160 countries
