Cairo: The fifth round of the Traverse Summit, which is the largest summit for high school students in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa, will be held on February 26. The two-day summit aims to help students, especially high school students, in choosing their careers and qualifying and teaching them new skills to help them enrol and excel in the labour market.

The summit will also support students in guiding them on the foundations and criteria taken into consideration when choosing a university in easy, simple, and unconventional ways, and this is what all modern educational institutions seek.

“We all went through a challenging phase when we had to choose a major and university, and we had difficulty getting relevant guidance on the right job for us” explains Mostafa Hashisha Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer at iSpark – the career development startup that powers Traverse Summit. “Traverse Summit will contribute big time in qualifying and empowering students before enrolling in university and creating distinctive job opportunities during their educational phase, and after graduation from the university” confirmed Hashisha.

During the summit, attendees will connect with 90+ organizations, participate in activities, and self-development seminars, as well as meet a number of influential, entrepreneurs and scientific figures to raise their exposure and awareness of the labour market and entrepreneurship skills.

Ahmed Salem, Traverse event organizer, said: “The Traverse Summit has begun since 2016, having met with acceptance and interaction from a large number of students, in the secondary stage and university stages, university professors, various training and educational centers and institutions inside and outside Egypt. Traverse has grown from 500 students and 10 sponsors in 2016 to reach 2,500 students and 90 sponsors in 2019. Public and international educational institutions and training centres focusing on diverse disciplines will be present, giving students an opportunity to better understand the choices and careers that are available across different industries and fields of education”

The summit will be held this year in collaboration with El Ahly Sabbour and Amaken at the Platinum Club in New Cairo, Fifth Settlement, from 26 to 27 February. Interested participants can fill out a form and get tickets online via Traverse website

It is worth mentioning that Traverse Summit is held every year, as the summit includes various activities for students that help in self-development, career awareness and guidance with exposure to different industries and businesses.
