Abu Dhabi, UAE: After the tremendous engagement the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s (ADMAF) Cultural Ramadan Series received, the HKI Foundation, in collaboration with ADMAF, released a video of Lebanese Soprano Hiba Al Kawas’ live premiere performance of "Allahu Ya Allah," a new song based on the poetry of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Khojah.

The premiere took place during Al Kawas’ unique online event called “Ibtihāl,” delivered live in a special partnership with ADMAF. The event was part of ADMAF’s Cultural  Ramadan Series, bringing people together in solidarity as a community during the difficult circumstances created by the coronavirus, through its commitment to supporting the UAE as a leader in culture and the arts.

H.E. Huda Ibrahim Alkhamis, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, said: “As we face the Covid-19 pandemic together, it is important for us to affirm our solidarity with all of humanity. We want the work we do to highlight the valuable and beneficial role the UAE plays at the local and global levels by reflecting the solidarity and the coming together of societies to overcome the challenges posed by this global emergency."

Her Excellency continued: "Through “Ibtihāl,” we strengthen our cultural heritage and invigorate our religious traditions with the graceful prayers and solemn words of praise that fortify our mental health and provide us with the determination to make it through to the return of life as it was before the pandemic. These things unite us and help reinforce our traditions of generosity and compassion for our fellow man.”

The live performance of "Allahu Ya Allah" will be released on digital platforms, social media, and selected Arabic TV channels carrying a message of reassurance and spirituality to humanity during the most difficult ordeal in modern history.

Fulfilling its mission to nurture the arts and culture, especially during difficult times, and to help support the UAE's comprehensive national response to the pandemic and  spread positivity and happiness throughout society, ADMAF is making all of the aforementioned performances available on its website and social platforms.
