Global Ventures is pleased to announce that Loulwa Bakr, Senior Partner at Chrome Advisory, has joined its management team as Venture Partner, with oversight on the Saudi market. The addition to the team strengthens Global Venture’s presence as one of the leading regional venture capital funds investing in the Saudi market.

Global Ventures is a growth-driven venture capital firm based in Dubai, focused on growth-stage enterprise technology investments in the MENA region. The firm was founded by Noor Sweid, a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over a decade of experience scaling and successfully exiting businesses in the region.
Global Ventures has already completed 8 investments. The fund's investments focus on globally-scalable enterprise technology companies in the MENA region, enabling the scale-up of these young companies into global markets, realizing multiple expansion and revenue growth, and creating global success stories. Recent investments include FloraNow, B2B Flower marketplace, Lunch:On, a corporate lunch solution, as well as a field workforce solution, Arrow Labs, and a travel technology company, HolidayME, all of which began their global expansions very shortly after an investment by Global Ventures.

Chrome Advisory is a Jeddah-based financial advisory firm, providing specialized services to enablers across the venture capital value chain, on both sides of the deal; buy and sell. Prior to co-founding Chrome Advisory, Loulwa Bakr led a two-decade seasoned career in corporate finance and investment banking, culminated by heading the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in Saudi Arabia. She was recognized by World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader. Her credentials also include serving as an independent board member of REYL Finance (MEA) Ltd., a member of the advisory board of Columbia University Global Centres (Amman) and serves on the audit committee of Budget Rent A Car Saudi Arabia. She is a graduate of both King Saud University and Columbia Business School, with executive credentials from Harvard, Oxford and Insead.
