Sharjah: Rafid Automotive Solutions, a joint venture between Sharjah Asset Management – the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah – and OWS Auto, provides quality services to vehicle owners, the public and private sectors, and individuals. The initiative is in line with Sharjah’s vision to provide the public with the best services. Rafid operates four lines of business including MotorCheck, Autoxpress, Accident Unit and RSA (RoadSide Assistance), tailored to improve the performance of the region’s automotive sector.
HE Salim Saeed Al Midfa, General Manager of Rafid, stressed that the company, a public-private partnership, is committed to using the latest technology to improve the quality of services for vehicles at seven service centres in Sharjah, providing a full range of services under one roof for the convenience of car owners, individuals and dealers.
Al Midfa added that the company has a team of highly qualified and experienced technicians operating the inspection, maintenance and repair units. He said, “Rafid strives to carry out all vehicle-related operations in a professional manner, and it will continue to improve procedures in order to offer the best solutions to its clients and partners.”
Motorcheck assists with the car registration process by inspecting and appraising cars of different types and sizes and performing detailed checks of the body, paint, chrome, signs of accidental damage, rust or Bondo. The unit checks engines, test drives each car and provides every client with a free professional consultation.
Autoxpress, the GCC’s one-stop shop for the repair and maintenance of imported cars, provides brake maintenance, oil changes, exhaust pipe repairs and comprehensive solutions with an ASE and AQI-certified team of technicians.
Rafid Accident Unit, a dedicated service provided to the residents of Sharjah, surveys the scenes of minor traffic accidents to provide accurate documentation that can be submitted as legal evidence. Accident scene surveys are performed by Rafid Traffic Experts, and the Rafid Accident Unit uses advanced technology, accuracy and attention-to-detail to deliver accident reports that are required by law. Services are provided by Rafid Accident Application, a fast and reliable solution that allows real time report printing.
Launched in collaboration with Sharjah Police Headquarters, Rafid’s Roadside Assistance offers re-fuelling, battery and tyre changes and towing services. These services are provided to people who contact the service centre directly, and under Rafid’s contracts with a number of insurance companies.
Established in Sharjah in 2017, Rafid Automotive Solutions’ workshops cover a total area of 50,000 square metres, offering additional support services such as vehicle inspection and registration, technician training and approval, and light and heavy car washes using modern equipment.
