The initiative will conclude with a mega event on 8th October at Zabeel Park where people who complete the highest number of steps will be awarded.

Dubai, UAE: On occasion of World Heart Day, Aster Volunteers - the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest integrated healthcare provider network in GCC and India, has launched Heart to Heart Walks – a weeklong initiative at Medcare Hospital, Al Safa, Jumeirah. The global initiative will bring together people from 6 countries to join the fitness programme and get an opportunity to change the lives of underprivileged children in urgent need of medical intervention.  

#Heart2Heart initiative by Aster Volunteers aims to encourage people to walk for a healthy heart, while simultaneously contributing towards helping with heart surgeries for underprivileged children. With the combined efforts of the participating individuals, Aster DM Foundation will be donating INR.100/- for minimum 10,000 steps a day, towards Paediatric Cardiac Surgery for privileged children through Aster Volunteers Treatment Aid programme in India. The week long initiative will ensure that an individual walking minimum 10,000 steps in a day for seven days can contribute Rs. 700 or AED 35.  

Speaking on the initiative Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare said, “The #Heart2Heart initiative by Aster Volunteers brings forth the importance of staying healthy and fit physically while remaining spiritually fulfilled by the power of giving. Through the #Heart2Heart campaign, we want to showcase the importance of living an active life through making exercise as a part of one’s daily life. Let us create an active generation focussing on their health, while contributing to the larger cause of enabling a healthy future for underprivileged children.”
