Dubai: The rain cleared up just time for the carnival to come to town for more than 4,500 Transguard staff at the company’s biannual staff party, which was held at Dubai’s Etisalat Academy Sports & Leisure Club last Friday, 1st March.

In true carnival style, employees had the opportunity to enjoy a range of rides, including giant inflatables, human foosball, a mechanical rodeo bull and a gladiator dome, as well as a range of fairground stalls. Away from the fun and games, entertainment included traditional African and Bollywood style dance performances, while several of Transguard’s talented staff gave dancing and singing performances of their own. What carnival would be complete without traditional favourites like candy floss and popcorn? These indulgences were then rounded off by a sumptuous buffet lunch.

“Events like this really bring the team together and remind us why our employees are so important to the success of this company. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without those who are here today. We’ve had a great day and an incredible party,” said Greg Ward, Managing Director, Transguard.

AXA Insurance, Al Madallah Healthcare Management, Global Money Transfer Company, Instant Cash and VPS Healthcare also donated their time, resources and prizes to make sure the carnival was a huge success.

“This was a massive undertaking and I’m grateful to the dedicated committee who pulled it all together. But it was well worth it, because it was a hit with all the staff and the management team,” Ward concluded.
