  • Game changing deal finalised ahead of Index Dubai in May 2021

Dubai: KI and KPS today announced a new partnership deal, which will allow interior contractors KPS to offer the full range of KI furniture to its UAE clients. Since 1941, KI has focused on innovative and customised solutions for business furniture, university furniture, educational furniture, healthcare furniture and government furniture.

Headquartered in Wisconsin in the United States, and with its EMEA headquarters in London, KI has close to US$700 million in global sales and ranks as the sixth-largest contract furniture manufacturer in the world. Today, KI employs nearly 3,000 people and operates nine international manufacturing facilities, with a sales and support presence throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Dubai-headquartered KPS is a technology-led and design-focused interior contractor, with strong Swedish roots. For over 30 years, this family-owned business has brought commercial spaces to life. Today, KPS has a presence in nine countries across Europe and the Middle East, combining international reach with local expertise and craftsmanship, and making it the preferred choice for clients with a multinational presence. With an annual turnover of US$150 million and over 500 employees, KPS has to-date designed and transformed over 15 million square feet of commercial space.

Jonathan Hindle, KI’s EMEA Group Managing Director, said: “We are excited to team up with KPS in Dubai and see this deal as a win-win for both companies. Like our new partners KPS, at KI we understand that each of our customers has unique needs. We look forward to this new collaboration with KPS to bring our innovative products and ‘Infinity’ co-creation service to better serve the needs of the fast-expanding UAE market. We are also delighted to welcome on board Grace van Beusekom, who is based in Dubai and will be working together with KPS to develop new opportunities.”

Grace commented: “I’m very excited to have joined KI and to work for one of the leading manufacturers of workplace, education and healthcare solutions. KI has a long history in the Middle East and there is a great opportunity to grow with a truly customer-driven, collaborative approach and inspired product design. I’m looking forward to developing and growing our new relationship with KPS, helping our customers make smart furnishing decisions by offering expert advice, design options and personalised solutions.”

For Stephen Lockey, Managing Director of KPS in the UAE, this landmark deal with KI is about adding more choice for their customers: “We are delighted to add KI to our growing portfolio of world-class brands, so that we can continue to provide end-to-end interior solutions of the highest possible quality to our current and future customers. As we approach Index Dubai, the Middle East’s anchor event for interior contracting and furnishing brands, this deal reinforces KPS’ position as a world-class innovator in the Middle East.”
