Imdaad secures contract renewal for waste collection services across Union Coop outlets

Company's second five-year contract with the UAE's largest consumer cooperative encompasses 20 branches, including three malls

Imdaad, a Dubai-based group of companies that provides integrated, sustainable Facilities Management (FM) services that enhance operational efficiencies of physical assets, recently renewed its contract to provide waste collection services across outlets of Union Cooperative Society, the largest consumer cooperative in the country.

Under the terms of the contract, Imdaad will manage waste collection from all existing and upcoming outlets of Union Coop in Dubai over the next five years. The renewal follows the successful completion of the initial five-year contract between the two companies.

H.E. Jamal Abdulla Lootah, Group CEO of Imdaad, said: “It is an honor to renew our contract with Union Cooperative Society. We are proud of winning their trust and confidence over the last five years, thanks to our shared values when it comes to health and safety. We are committed to continuing to deliver outstanding services to Union Coop as part of our efforts to keeping the UAE clean and waste-free through innovative and sustainable waste management solutions.”

Commenting on the agreement, H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of the Union Cooperative Society said: “Imdaad has been consistently delivering quality services to all our outlets during the past five years. With them, we have a reliable partner who understands the importance of clean and safe operations. We are pleased with their services, especially during the pandemic, through their observance of the public health and safety standards followed in this field, and we look forward to having a great relationship throughout the new contract term.”

Imdaad has an impressive track record in waste management spanning over three decades, offering its services to all industries, including specialized services for the healthcare, construction, and property management sectors. Its expert teams and special purpose vehicles handle more than 500 tons of biomedical waste each year, which is approximately a quarter of the total volume generated in Dubai. Imdaad also manages construction waste in line with green building guidelines, in addition to providing customized municipal solid waste management to various clients.
