Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. – As part of Dr. Hamed Bin Mohamed Khalifa Al Suwaidi’s continuous support to the arts and education industry, he joined earlier last week Mr Mark Leppard MBE – Headmaster of the school , Debby Burton Shaw - Chair of Governors, Julie Richards MBE - Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors, HE Younis Haji Al Khoori - Under Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Finance alongside a few members of the Board of Governors, Mr Dan Emery, Head of Art and the management team of The British School Al Khubairat BSAK in the opening of the end of term GCSE and A Level Private Art Exhibition which has taken place at the school premises. As a fellow of The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and commerce, and The Abu Dhabi Patron of the National Portrait Gallery in London, Dr Hamed Al Suwaidi focuses on providing a continues support to the art scene locally and internationally. 

The British School Al Khubairat has been true to its identity and to growing with our beloved country since 1968 providing a high level of education to our children. Dr. Al Suwaidi stated that it is essential that we encourage and support this generation to expand their imagination and creativity to reach new heights in various aspects of life which will directly impact and shape the future. He also stressed on the importance of continuously supporting the students to enhance their creative skills and support them develop a better idea on the career paths they would like to take in the future. 

The opening was followed by a tour around the gallery and the school premises and a few discussions on future projects which will contribute towards encouraging and supporting the UAE-UK Year of Culture announced in November 2016 by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales.
