Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced the launch of the Retail Abu Dhabi (RAD) Spring Sales, a massive shopping event taking place across the emirate from April 15 to May 1.

Visitors and residents alike will have the chance to enjoy a rewarding shopping experience for two weeks throughout the capital and Al Ain region, with incredible offers and rewards from dozens of retailers in shopping malls across the emirate.

The first edition of RAD Spring Sales offers consumers up to 75% discounts at more than 300 outlets across 15 shopping malls.  Participating outlets in Abu Dhabi Mall, Dalma Mall, Bawadi Mall, Al Ain Mall, Yas Mall, Al Wahda Mall, WTC Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, Mushrif Mall, Raha Mall, Madinat Zayed Mall, Mazyed Mall, Barari Mall, Foah Mall and Bawabat Al Sharq Mall will be offering significant discounts. Shoppers can also take advantage of daily and weekly prize-giving offers.

“We are excited to announce the first edition of RAD Spring Sales, which is expected to be one of the most popular events in Abu Dhabi’s retail calendar,” said Saeed Rashed Al Saeed, Destination Marketing Director, DCT Abu Dhabi. “Our mall and retail establishments are some of the finest in the world, and are an important facet of Abu Dhabi’s economic growth. We trust that these incredible shopping offers will encourage people to get out into the city and enjoy these deals.”

Shoppers will have a chance to win mall gift vouchers valued up to AED 124,000 when they spend a minimum of AED 200 in fashion outlets at some of the participating malls.

“We are very pleased to partner with DCT Abu Dhabi for the RAD initiative.” said Bassam Saleh, Director of Marketing, Bawadi Mall. “At Bawadi, we have always been committed to offer visitors exciting deals and promotions, and the RAD initiative is in line with our goals. While the Spring Sales promotion will increase the footfall to the mall, it will also offer us an opportunity to stay ahead of the curve.”

“It is our pleasure to be part of RAD Spring Season” said Wajeb Khoury Al Khoury, Director, Line Investments and Property, the shopping malls’ development and management company. “This initiative by DCT Abu Dhabi will be an innovative attraction for the people coming to the malls and will add value to the malls as well. Furthermore, it will open the doors to the retailers to participate through promotional sales and discounts.”

The RAD initiative was first launched in December 2018, as part of DCT Abu Dhabi‘s mandate to provide unparalleled experiences and offerings across a range of sectors, and further position the emirate as an attractive global destination of distinction.
