DWF's Dubai office strengthens its corporate practice with the appointment of Edoardo Betto as Partner, who will provide corporate counsel to clients across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.

Edoardo joins DWF Middle East LLP from DLA Piper, Saudi Arabia, where he held the position of legal Director and Head of the Al Khobar Office, which he established. Edoardo has over 14 years' experience, 9 of which was spent in Saudi Arabia, advising on various corporate and commercial matters from M&A to JV deals to regulatory affairs, inbound investments and commercial agreements particularly in the oil and gas, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors.

Shiraz Sethi, Regional Managing Partner for DWF Middle East LLP, commented on the appointment: "With a wealth of experience advising on corporate and commercial matters, in the oil & gas and industrial sectors, as well as a highly regarded reputation in the Saudi Arabian market, Edoardo will be a key asset to our expanding corporate team and energy practice in the region and generally. We are delighted to have Edoardo join the team and look forward to developing our existing client base as well as building new relationships for the business."

Edoardo said: "I am delighted to be joining an expert team of legal advisors to continue developing DWF's corporate practice at such an exciting time in its growth phase. DWF's focus on key international markets aligns very well with my practice, and I am looking forward to further developing our international offering across the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia."

Edoardo's arrival follows the recent senior appointments of Yasser Yaqub (Partner // Project Finance), Slava Kiryushin (Partner // Global Head of Energy), and Majed Almarshad (Partner // Banking & Finance) who have all joined the Dubai office in the last few months.
