BizWorld UAE recently partnered with Companies for Good to expand entrepreneurship education and financial literacy programmes for children in the UAE. Through this strategic partnership, the mission of promoting children’s entrepreneurship and teaching them business and financial skills will expand throughout the United Arab Emirates with a series of workshops, events and integrated learning for children between the ages of seven to 15.

To kick-off this new partnership, BizWorld UAE and Companies for Good, with sponsorship from UBS, organized a workshop for 240 children at the GEMS Metropole School, Motor City. Promoting childhood entrepreneurship, the workshop covered business basics, taking them through the entire start-up process from creating business plans to pitching to investors.

Aimed at encouraging early childhood entrepreneurial thinking, these workshops organized by BizWorld UAE and Companies For Good aim to help students develop out-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, empathy and other important life skills beyond establishing and running their own business with the support from corporate sector executives bridging the worlds of corporate volunteering and childrens entrepreneurship. Strengthening these life skills will prepare them for any career path they choose in the future.

Helen Al Uzaizi, CEO of BizWorld UAE stressed the importance of the partnership, commenting, “Partnering with Companies For Good allows us to expand the reach of our entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs. When we teach children how to find their entrepreneurial spirit, the outcome is a generation of leaders, innovators and change makers. It is my firm belief that, with encouragement and instruction, we will be looking at a brighter future with more entrepreneurially-minded young people creating, experiencing and innovating new business and shaping our economy.”

Marc Ruiviejo Cirera, Founder of Companies for Good, added, “Entrepreneurship education is critical in the foundation of a healthy entrepreneurship ecosystem. More and more companies and public sector institutions are realizing that creating a strong entrepreneurial class requires early education to create more capable and empowered entrepreneurs. With BizWorld UAE, we are able to reach children and inspire their entrepreneurial ambitions – we aim to have more support from the corporate sector in this field as this same mindset that makes great entrepreneurs also creates a more capable professionals across all fields.”
