Dubai: Families can take part in a special yoga event on Friday, 21 June that aims to set a world record for the largest parent and child yoga gathering ever right here in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Charm Yoga Dubai and Kidzapp, the ultimate digital guide to family-friendly activities and events, are partnering to make this record-setting event come to life with the help of hundreds of moms, dads and kids.

Aiming to gather 500 kids and their parents, the event will be hosted at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital in Al Jaddaf in Dubai from 9:30 AM until 12 PM to coincide with International Day of Yoga, and is open to families from across the UAE free of charge.

Karim Beidas, Kidzapp Founder, said: “We’re really excited about this event because it’s bringing the whole family together to work toward a world record and have fun in the process. Kidzapp was created to help mums and dads spend quality time with their kids, especially when it involves trying new things that keep them active, entertained and engaged with each other, and we’re looking forward to bringing everyone together for this event.”

Participating families will gather to collectively perform sun salutations, asanas, breathing techniques, and everyone’s favourite yoga pose, the downward dog, while enjoying a fun and memorable family time. That’s not all, if successful, everyone will be a world record holder – a lifelong achievement.

“Through my work in Yoga, I have seen how children are positively influenced. They develop self-esteem, team spirit and confidence in themselves, while being active and having fun. My passion for working with kids, teaching yoga and movement, grows each and every day,” added Charm from Charm Yoga Dubai.

Dr. Mohamed Al Awadhi, COO, Al Jalila Children’s Hospital said: “We are very pleased to cooperate with Charm Yoga and Kidzapp by hosting this innovative and exciting event. Our involvement comes in line with Al Jalila Children’s core strategy of promoting health and wellness among children from all ages within the UAE community.”

To keep the fun a while longer, the family yoga event will feature entertainment including a band, a dance show and kids activities as well as food and beverage vendors. The event will be hosted by Pearl FM’s Saif, and there will also be a special appearance by a kids celebrity.

The world record attempt yoga event is supported by an incredible line-up of partners including: Baby Shop Arabia, Pampers Arabia, XDubai, Pearl FM, Fairgreen International School, The Sustainable City, Eye to Eye Security, and venue host Al Jalila Children Hospital.

To join the world record breaking event, families can register through the Kidzapp mobile app or website www.kidzapp.com.

Kidzapp is a free digital guide available on iOS and Android and contains full listings of all play areas, venues, events, seasonal kids’ promotions, family restaurants, among other engaging features across the UAE. Kidzapp also has a fully featured website with engaging blogs and parenting tips.
