Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), the preferred gateway for the Levant region and beyond, has recently renewed its partnership with Tikyet Um Ali. The agreement was signed by ACT’s CCO, Khalil Abu Al Hawa, and the Director General of Tikyet Um Ali, Samer Balkar at the headquarters of Tkiyet Um Ali located in Al-Mahatta.

Commenting on this occasion, ACT CCO, Khalil Abu Al Hawa, said, “We are very proud to renew our partnership with Tkiyet Um Ali, with whom we have had a long-term partnership for several years. We firmly believe in Tkiyet Um Ali’s pivotal role in serving the community, which has been especially impactful during the challenges faced this past year. For this reason, we at ACT are honored to be continuing our support of the community, as well as redoubling our support of Tkiyet Um Ali, in an effort to reinforce their commendable efforts in providing food and aid to Jordanian families who need it most across the Kingdom.”

Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, Samer Balkar, expressed his gratitude for the partnership between ACT and Tkiyet Um Ali saying, “Tkiyet Um Ali values its partnership with the private sector and greatly appreciates ACT’s belief in our vision of reaching a hunger-free Jordan. Serving poor families and those in need remains our noble goal and we are happy to see the ongoing support of our partners as they help us to achieve it.”

This is considered one of the many partnerships that ACT has with civil society organizations. Since its inception, the company has been committed to supporting all sectors, segments, national issues and pressing challenges. ACT particularly focuses on supporting less fortunate students, education, health and sports sectors, with the aim to link the concept of corporate social responsibility to sustainability.
