** Bitcoin bank Silvergate Capital Corp down nearly 5% before the bell; cryptocurrency miner Riot Blockchain drops 8.8% and Marathon Patent Group falls 7%

** Shares of Overstock.com, an online retailer and blockchain tech investor, dip 0.6%; MicroStrategy Inc, a BTC buyer and business intelligence software firm, slides 4.2%

** MSTR, led by bitcoin bull Michael Saylor, this week said it holds ~90,859 bitcoins that were purchased for $2.19 bln.

** MSTR in recent weeks raised hundreds of millions of dollars in debt to buy BTC.
