RIYADH — Saudi Arabia reported 483 new confirmed coronavirus cases, 27 new deaths, and 1,009 new recoveries in 24 hours, the ministry of health reported on Sunday.

The latest number was the lowest daily coronavirus tally in five months, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying.

The total number of cases in the Kingdom stood at 329,754, while the death tally increased to 4,485. The total number of recoveries was also raised to 310,439.

Jeddah had the highest number of 64 cases on Sunday. There were 42 infections in Makkah, 41 in Hufof, 30 in Riyadh, 23 in Madinah, and 22 in Dhahran.

The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al-Abdel Ali

The Kingdom confirmed its first COVID-19 cases on March 2 via a Saudi national returning from Iran.
