The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, has sent a cable of congratulation to Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the occasion of the country's 74th Independence Day today.

On behalf of him and the Saudi government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King wished the President constant good health and happiness and the Government and people of Pakistan steady progress and prosperity.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, endorsed King Salman's good wishes in a cable of his own to Dr Alvi.

Saudi Arabia didn't stop there in its efforts to commemorate Pakistan's proud day, either.

Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malki, recorded an Independence Day message in Urdu that went viral on social media.
