DUBAI - Emirates Health Services (EHS) continues to educate and motivate patients with osteoporosis to make appropriate changes to their lifestyle, control their disease, and change their life for the better.

On the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day observed annually on 20th October, EHS launched awareness initiatives as part of its ongoing efforts to provide osteoporosis patients with healthcare and innovative services, which is part of its strategy aimed at delivering world-class and advanced therapeutic services.

EHS added that it provides specialised clinics equipped with medical cadres and state-of-the-art devices for osteoporosis patients. Clinics provide diagnostic and therapeutic examinations, as well as medical advice and guidance on osteoporosis.

The major focus of the EHS's programmes is to raise public awareness of the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis, especially after the age of 50. The initiatives also highlight the importance of following a healthy diet and physical activity in bone health, besides getting adequate amounts of calcium, quitting smoking, and reducing consumption of caffeine and carbonated beverages.
