Twenty-six new cases of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) were registered in Bahrain yesterday.
This raises the total number of active cases in Bahrain to 1,127, of which two are critical.
Meanwhile, 11 more people have been discharged from treatment facilities, raising the number of total recovering to 773.
The Health Ministry also revealed that a second Gulf Air-operated repatriation flight arrived in Bahrain from Iran yesterday as part of the kingdom’s International Covid-19 Repatriation Programme.
This is the second batch of Bahrainis to arrive in two days from Iran aboard the national carrier and the ministry said all preventive medical protocols were followed.
Meanwhile, 61 more people have also left quarantine facilities after completing the mandatory quarantine period with laboratory tests being conducted on them to ensure they were safe and free of Covid-19.
According to the ministry, this takes the total number of people who have left precautionary quarantine to 1,335, while a total of 90,307 tests have been conducted so far.
