Bahrain last night reported its youngest Covid-19 fatality after a 21-year-old Bahraini man succumbed to the coronavirus infection.

His death took the Covid toll in the country to 130, with another 321 new cases and 439 recoveries reported yesterday.

The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 321 new cases, 162 were expatriate workers and 159 contacts of local cases. 

It said an additional 439 people recovered from Covid-19, taking the total number of recoveries to 33,894. 

The ministry added that of the 3,613 active cases, 91 are receiving treatment and 47 in critical condition. 

Bahrain has so far registered 37,637 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths.

The kingdom has also conducted 752,485 tests.
