AMMAN — The trilateral committee for the labour affairs has recently stressed its decision made in February to increase the minimum wage from JD220 to JD260 and enforce the decision as of January 1, 2021.

The committee in its recent meeting, chaired by Labour Minister and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Maen Qatamin, decided to exclude the most affected sectors from the COVID-19 pandemic and closed sectors from the decision in the first five months of 2021, stipulating the decision includes them as of June 1, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The committee includes representatives from the government, employers and employees.
