Mubasher: Kuwait’s consumer price index (CPI) went up by 1.67% year-on-year (YoY) in February 2020, according to recent data released by Kuwait’s Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

The Gulf nation’s inflation stood at 115.4 points last February when compared to 113.5 points in the same month a year earlier.

The annual inflation growth was helped by 11 rising groups topped by the communications, which increased by 3.91%. On the other hand, the housing services group price fell by 0.86%.

Month-on-month (MoM), the inflation inched up by 0.9% from 115.3 points in January.

Excluding the food and housing services groups, Kuwait’s inflation increased by 1.39% and 2.94%, respectively.
