Cairo – Trade exchange between Egypt and the US rose by 19.7% year-on-year to $5.35 billion during the first seven months of 2019, compared to $4.47 billion in the year-ago period, Akhbar El-Yom reported on Thursday, citing official data.

Egyptian exports to the US grew by 37.5% to $1.9 billion from January to July, compared to $1.37 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.

In addition, the North African nation’s oil exports surged by 50% year-on-year to $662.9 million in the seven-month period ended 31 July from $441.8 million.
