UAE-based Deyaar Development and Millennium Hotels & Resorts have announced that the project work on the four-star Millennium Al Barsha Hotel is now completed and expected to open its doors in August.

The seven-storey property has a total of 408 units, consisting of 109 serviced apartments (with 93 one-bedrooms and 16 two-bedrooms), and 299 hotel rooms (with 15 suites). The interior design is elegant and charming with natural colours and wood. The facilities include two lobbies (one for hotel and one for residences), a Moroccan cuisine restaurant with outdoor space, all-day dining restaurant, spa, gym and kids play area. The leisure facilities include dedicated areas for men and women with a ladies-only swimming pool.

Saeed Al Qatami, chief executive officer of Deyaar, said: “Here at Deyaar, we are honoured by this chance to continue to support Dubai’s Tourism Vision 2020. The city wants to attract more families and more mid-market travellers. Millennium Al Barsha Hotel, with its modern rooms at affordable prices, will help do just that.”

Millennium Al Barsha Hotel is a walking distance from the shopping and leisure destination Mall of the Emirates with easy access to Dubai Metro and Sheikh Zayed Road.

Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, president of Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa, said: “Early this year, we announced the opening of Millennium Atria Business Bay, our first hospitality venture with Deyaar and today marks our second hotel opening with Deyaar in Al Barsha neighbourhood, and we are delighted to expand our reach.”

This development is a further addition to Deyaar’s hospitality portfolio and the increasing diversification of the company. Hospitality will be a cornerstone to Deyaar’s long term vision in delivering sustainable returns to its shareholders and in supporting the creation of employment in the city of Dubai.

Building on its longstanding reputation for successful commercial and residential property development, Deyaar has in recent years expanded its property management and facilities management divisions, as well as allocating up to 1 million-sq-ft for hospitality projects. Additional upcoming developments include Millennium Mont Rose Serviced Apartments which is currently in its final stages and will open later this year at Dubai Science Park. - TradeArabia News Service
