UAE -  UAE-based HBK Department of Projects (HBK DOP) has signed a partnership agreement with APCO Digicon & Multicity Digital Consortium, an Indian tech firm, to provide its HBKiCare to APCO Digicon’s 4 million subscribers.

HBKiCare is a smart internet of things (IoT) telemedicine platform that offers healthcare services to hospitals, insurance companies, and rural homes, namely amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, according to a press release on Sunday.

Under the partnership agreement, HBK DOP, an entity handling project investments for economic growth and social progress, will acquire a stake in APCO Digicon.

This acquisition is part of a technology cooperation agreement that includes the launch of a blockchain solution through HBK DOP subsidiary, HBK GoChain, for 5G, Edge computing, smart home boxes, and gaming services.

The Chairman of HBK DOP, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, said: "In line with the vision of the UAE and its leaders, HBK DOP’s focuses on supporting innovations and the application of cutting-edge technology complements its long-term objective of a sustainable tech-enabled future."

The Chairman of APCO Digicon, Faisal Habash, commented: "APCO Digicon is known for its state-of-the-art technology solutions and this partnership with HBK DOP offers strong support for our business."
