Cairo – Mubasher: Total value of contracts of New Alamein City’s first phase reached EGP 240 billion, chairman of New Alamein Government Office, Osama Abdul Ghany, said.

An amount of EGP 22 billion has been spent since June 2018, excluding the costs of sewage, water, and wastewater treatment plants, Abdul Ghany added in a statement to Egyptian Businessmen's Association (EBA) on Tuesday.

Some projects in the first phase are expected to be inaugurated by the end of June, while the majority of projects are likely to be inaugurated in mid-2020, he noted.

The first phase of the project is over an area of 24,000 feddans (acres), while the second and third phases are over areas of 12,000 feddans and 12,000 feddans, respectively.
