Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of housing Assem El-Gazzar announced the completion of 166,000 housing units as part of the national project to develop 298 slums areas.

A total of 75,000 housing units are currently being set up to improve 59 slum areas, El-Gazzar said on Tuesday during a meeting to follow up on the implementation of housing units of the unsafe slum development projects, according to a statement.

The minister of housing added that the total number of housing units being built at 357 unsafe slum areas totalled 240,000, including Ma'an project and the development project in the northern and southern areas of Al Sayadeen in Ras El-Bar.
