AMMAN - The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Sunday announced that, for health purposes, the central market for fruits and vegetables in Amman will stop receiving vegetables and fruits after 12 noon each day as of Monday.

According to GAM Spokesperson Nasser Rahammnah, the decision was taken to regulate work inside the market and to maintain public health.

The municipality called on farmers not to supply vegetables after 12 noon, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
