Poland is sending Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine on Friday, the first of 14 vehicles the government has promised, Bloomberg News reported.

Polish Premier Mateusz Morawiecki would announce the delivery during his trip to Kyiv, Bloomberg said, citing an official familiar with the matter.

Morawiecki went to Kyiv on Friday in a show of support to Ukraine in its fight against Russia, government spokesman Piotr Muller wrote on Twitter. (Reporting by Mrinmay Dey in Bengaluru; Editing by Alex Richardson)
