Cairo – Mubasher: Toyota Tsusho, the trading arm of Japan’s Toyota Group, has announced that it will manufacture 240,000 natural gas minibuses in Egypt in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), according to Ahram Online.

The announcement came during a meeting held between the Japanese company and Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr.

The Egyptian government prioritises the replacement of diesel minibuses with gas-powered models, Nasr added.

Toyota Tsusho invests around $1 billion in Egypt in the transport, oil, energy and wind power sectors.
